Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame, Longreach, Queensland.
Tourism Finalist
Held at the Brisbane Convention Centre the prestigious Queensland Tourism Awards saw the Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame walk away with two finalist places in the ‘Significant Attractions’ and Cultural Heritage’ categories.
CEO Debbie Erswell, who attended the awards night, was delighted and is now considering broadening the membership and to this end will for the first time promote the Hall of Fame with information stands at several trade shows. The first stand will be at Outback week in Brisbane.
Debbie said “we have a strong, loyal base of 3,500 members and just think how this could expand if more people become aware of the “Hall”.
The Federal Government recently allocated $1.5 million funding to the “Hall” for the development of the food and beverage facility.
Upcoming events include a Drover’s Reunion and Outback Muster, Diamond Sports Shears and the Hall of Fame Pro Rodeo. For full details on events and a membership application please visit the Stockman’s Hall of Fame website on http://www.outbackheritage.com.au
