22nd April 2007

Robert ‘Bob’ Gray Logan (1939-2007) April 23rd 2007

It is with deep sadness that the Logan family announce the sudden death of Bob Logan at age 68 years. Bob collapsed at the Inglis Broodmare sales late on Friday suffering a brain haemorrhage and was rushed immediately to the Prince of Wales Hospital. Whilst initially we had hoped for a recovery his condition began deteriorating rapidly on Saturday afternoon with Bob passing away in the early hours this morning.

Bob was greatly respected and loved by his family, staff and by many in the horse and insurance industries. He is survived by his wife Lorraine, brother Michael, sister Barbara and children Andrew, Richard and Mandy, daughters-in-law Monique and Cecilia and his grandchildren, Sam, Emily, Isobel and Oliver.

A small, family service will take place later this week and a memorial service is planned for sometime in the near future. Further details will be announced on the website www.logans.com.au and at www.loganfs.com.au

The family take great comfort in the thoughts and prayers from Bob’s many friends and acquaintances that he had made throughout his life. He loved people, sport and in particular everything to do with the horse industry. He passed away doing what he loved and we take great comfort knowing he passed quickly and without pain. He will be greatly missed by his family, staff, friends and clients.

We request that in lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Prince of Wales or Mater Hospital in memory of Bob Logan.
